PETE PRAM 6 - #B 6
The cheapest and simplest practicable boat. It may be built from one sheet of plywood. Length 6 ft., beam 3 ft. 8 in. It is a flat-bottomed pram dinghy suitable for angling, and will carry two adults or three children. Details of simple sailing gear are included. A sail can be added to this boat to provide some enjoyable recreational or instructional work with children. The sail is made from light closely-woven cloth. The mast and both spars are best made of spruce. A plywood leeboard is necessary when tacking or reaching. Full-size patterns and instructions to convert this boat for sailing are included in the plan set.
