DECK BOAT 22 - #S 4
The Deck Boat was designed to provide maximum room and versatility for outdoor activities on protected waterways at minimum cost and building time. Besides the rail-in foredeck, this prototype features an enclosed deck area with galley counter, two couches and lockers underneath, control seat with steering and dashboard console, and a canopy with changing room/toilet enclosure. All of the boat components(two seat boxes enclosing the rear deck, three deck pieces, and two hulls)unbolt in a manner of minutes for easy transporting, launching or storing during the off-season.

Although designed for protected waterways, some builders have added draft(i.e.additional height) to the simple double box hulls for rougher waters. Since its debut in lake waters, the prototype has been used in San Diego Bay where fish boat wakes can be pretty rough. With no added draft, the front deck gets wet, but with a 40 horse engine attached, she can really fly.
