JET SETTER 20
This big, beamy sled boat is equally at home in whitewater rivers, fishing on lakes, or towing skiers. Plans show two layouts a Windshield Version with hinged center section for access to bowrider cockpit or raised casting deck, or an open cockpit Center Console version with raised casting deck forward.

There's just the right amount of "vee" in the bottom, upsweep in the bow, and flare to the sides for a fast, responsive, and dry boat in turbulent conditions. Three rubrails each side fend off rocks and hazards.

Separate plans are available for either sheet plywood or welded aluminum construction. Plywood hulls total 1/2" bottoms and 3/8" sides over a rugged framework, with fiberglass coverings on the outside. Aluminum hulls have 3/16" bottoms and 1/8" sides over transverse frames reinforced by standard extrusion longitudinals. Construction is simple yet rugged in either material. Sides and bottom are fully developed for easy application without special forming.

The plans also include simple methods for either increasing or decreasing the length.

Power comes from a single 20" or 25" shaft outboard retrofitted with a jet pump lower unit or a stern mounted inboard with jet drive. Or use an outboard or I/0 unit with prop where waters permit they're all detailed.
