The 22 foot Viking, latest in our plan and kit design, has been created in response to numerous requests over the past years. Those of you who want a good mid range trailerable cruiser or ocean fishing boat with good depth forward and aft and excellent sea keeping abilities for ocean cruising will undoubtedly pick this particular design. The Viking hull form has proved itself over and over again first in our 24 26 foot Crown Cruiser series and in the 20 ft. Mariner. We just couldn't have picked a better hull form for the Viking and whether you choose the cabin fly bridge or the open fishing model you will be more than pleased with the construction procedures and performance of the Viking.
PB 226 X Cruiser. Our trailerable 22 foot Viking Cruiser was designed to provide maximum cruising accommodations. This series is bound to be one of our most sought after designs created in response to numerous letters from customers wanting this particular type of hull form and interior layout. Along with exciting new styling, the interior is extremely practical with a full 7'6" of cabin length and a maximum 68" headroom. Generous size bunk lengths from 6'10" will sleep either 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children if center dinette table is used as a V bunk filler. A full 2 x 3' dinette table is used between the 2 bunks. The cabin still has ample room for a marine head, bunks, and at each end of the bunk area for a full galley (2 burner stove, refrigerator, sink and storage cabinet). Aft cockpit from transom to cabin bulkhead is a generous 9'2. Viking Will Accommodate Inboard, Outboard or Stern Drive Power.
|Photo at left was submitted by a customer from Ransomville, NY who constructed this model from a complete boat kit. The customer extended the cabin for additional room, and used the Epoxy Plus system throughout. As can be seen, he did an excellent job. The customer was well pleased with the performance, recording speeds in excess of 40 MPH with a 150 HP outboard.|
