 The Broadbill 14 duck boat is the most popular gunning boat in the world. It was originally manufactured as a completed fiberglass boat which you can duplicate with our plans and patterns. This craft was designed to accommodate the ever changing gunning conditions encountered by today's water fowler. The Broadbill 14 is a lightweight low profile gunning craft that will handle a variety of water conditions and draws only 5" of water.  Photograph of our Broadbill 14, illustrates the versatility of this popular design. The Broadbill 14 will easily accommodate 2 adults, a dog, several sacks of decoys with room under the front deck for other necessities. This design was run at the Mercury test center in Placida, Florida and was clocked at 29.7 mph with an 18hp Mercury engine. The handling characteristics and maneuverability of this hull form were excellent. The Broadbill 14 draws only 5" of water which allows it to slip in and out of those shallow hard to get to places.STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS - Step by step instructions with our plans and patterns have been designed for those who have never built a boat before. As you can see in the drawing below, each part of the hull is assigned a number, this number in turn is then marked on each piece of lumber or marine plywood. Using this technique an amateur can easily build any Clark Craft boat model.
