The Heckle's stunning design provides an opportunity for anyone interested in a mini speedboat project. Speeds into the 30s are feasible and special care has been taken in planning the construction strong enough to stand up to rigorous use. A builder should be able to complete one of these hulls in marine plywood in approximately 60 hours depending on ability.
