GOBLIN 10 - #B 37 |
A sailing pram dinghy of exceptionally stable form, with a single lug sail or a main and jib. Sail area 55 sq. ft. or 62 sq. ft. with jib. The boat is fitted with a foredeck and built-in buoyancy under side benches. The method of building is novel, with plywood bottom slit at both ends and sprung from a single piece. The whole boat is built upright and there are no formers or jigs needed. All the equipment will stow inside the boat, which can be lifted by two people to travel on a car roof rack. It is a comfortable boat for sailing with two adults or three children, although it can be handled by one. Under oars or a 1 HP motor it will carry three. Goblin is suitable for children to learn to sail, being stable, yet its performance will give parents a lot of fun.
